PRAYERS TO ST. JOSEPH
To you, O blessed Joseph (Ad te, beate Ioseph)
To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our afflictions, and having implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also.Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood, and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ; O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be kind to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness.
As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect God’s Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity; shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your aid, we may be able to live piously, to die in holiness, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.

O Glorious St. Joseph, model of all who are devoted to labor,obtain for me the grace to work in the spirit of penance in expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiuosly by placing love of duty above my inclinations; to gratefully and joyously deem it an honor to employ and to develop by labor the gifts I have received from God, to work methodically, peacefully, and in moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from it through weariness or difficulty to work; above all, with purity of intention and unselfishness, having unceasingly before my eyes death and the account I have to render of time lost, talents unused, good not done, and vain complacency in success, so baneful to the work of God. St. Joseph, great protector Who stands before the throne of God I rest my hope in your intercession. Help me gain the blessings of your Son So that I may give more perfect thanks To our most loving Father. St. Joseph, I see the Christ Child, Asleep in your arms. I dare not approach While He sleeps near your heart. Hug Him and kiss His fine head for me. Ask Him to return this kiss to me When I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, father and guardian of virgins, to whose faithful keeping Christ Jesus, innocence Himself,
and Mary, the virgin of virgins were entrusted. I pray and beseech you by that twofold and most precious charge, by Jesus and Mary, to save me from all uncleanness, to keep my mind untainted, my heart pure, and my body chaste, and to help me always to serve Jesus and Mary in perfect chastity.
